Following the devastating news that our beloved Jeremy Huggett passed away last Wednesday, Saxarama is now performing at our club with Alex Clarke leading the band on saxophone alongside lady reeds-woman, Emily Masser.
This band first played when Jeremy and Alex first played together at the headline session of the Old Duke Jazz Festival in Bristol in August 2019. Such was the positive feedback of the crowd that they planned to join forces again. Sadly, that isn’t to be. But, we will join together and remember Jeremy fondly and reflect on the hours of wonderful music, humour and love he gave us over the years we knew him. We were blessed indeed to have known and love him.
The band will be ably backed by a fantastic swinging rhythm section of Rich Hughes (piano), Simon Smith (Bass) and Steve Street (drums).
